While it is easy to blog through WordPress, discussion were always the arena of forums. Sadly only very few forum software has a WordPress bridge ?
Why do think it is that way ? WordPress powers almost half of the internet, still..
MyBB had one, NodeBB, I think so. I saw talks about this in phpBB. In the end it looks like they do not have one.
IPB used to offer ? I don't remember. Xenforo has a third party addon.
Having their own blog unit is also a plus. But not sure whether SEO will be good when compared to WordPress.
I think WordPress should works with major players. How hard is for them to join hands with main players for an SSO ?
For some reason, neither WordPress nor forum vendors are doing it. They are doing injustice to customers. But that is how industry is right now.
There is always a lot of ego around big names. They don't even like to ask. Some insist that others should come to them. That could be the reason here as well.
Flarum has a WordPress bridge. I'm using it
Very few forums have one. Nice that Flarum has it.
