A lot of people are using their time learning new languages online. Do you plan to learn Kotlin ?
For those who do not know, Google wants you to use Kotlin to build apps for Android. Currently, Java is the go to language for Android apps. Google is adding Kotlin support on its documentation since some time now.
Google is pushing hard. But I don't I will jump into it right now. People still use Java to make Android apps. And that is going to stay that way for a while. One the platform is mature, there is enough content to learn, I will someday try Kotlin too.
When Google promotes something, there is a good chance it gets popular. Mainly because of the resources they have. I saw a few blog posts by Android developer about Kotlin. And a couple of apps to learn Kotlin.
I might give it a try. See how it is.
I am not against learning it. Only when it comes to a point where we cannot avoid it. Otherwise, a lot of Google products have failed. I don't wan to waste my time on every of their new projects.
Kotlin sounds like it belongs in Star Trek next to Klingon
I completely failed to understand that one. You mean harder than Klingon ?
admin no. I meant they sound similar. A poor (it seems) attempt at sarcasm.
You could have said " Sounds like Kligon ". Thanks for adding the context though 🤝
Abhi I did
Would you like to see Android apps move to Kotlin from Java ?
