Today I heard that TikTok got banned. While I never used that app or installed it, a thought came into my mind. What if one day Google close YouTube like they did to Google Plus ?
It is true that YouTube makes a lot of money but there is always a risk depending on a platform over which we have no control.
There is no good option at the moment. You will have to live with it. One day, something like TikTok will make your dream possible. 😇
I don't know why someone from Europe won't come up with an alternative for YouTube ? They are as good as advanced as the US. And most importantly, can afford to do it.
Valid question. I have no idea why. There could be several reasons, we could only guess.
admin YouTube is pretty much the goto behemoth for video sharing these days, with Vimeo trailing closely behind. For all the time that YouTube is around, there isn't going to be anyone willing (or perhaps foolish enough) to try and de-rail them.
However, that doesn't necessarily mean David won't take on Goliath. Just take a look at OpenBook as a potential threat to Facebook - maybe... 🤞
I recently saw some reference about a P2P video sharing website. I think the concept is like torrents. If someone could actually build a legitimate platform based on that model, it will be a huge game changer.
