I use Adsense in my website and it works great.
I get payment from them every month and the earnings are increasing over time.
How do you earn money from your website?
Normal mode is direct advertisement. We talk to people directly for ad spots, giveaway sponsorships etc. Adsense is a bit hard to deal with for my niche. It is a safe, clean one, but we find it easier to talk to people and make revenue the conventional way.
We have managed to involve enough money in the process. The whole point of running the project is satisfaction. So we do it the moderate way.
Abhi Do you spend a lot of time managing the ad spots or does it run smoothly?
Games We do only 2 spots. Top banner and side banner. They provide enough to sustain. There are many other modes of monetisation which we chose not to use because it would annoy the users. For example, link monetisation options.
Do you know what is more profitable than all these ? Start a website, make it big and sell it off. There are a lot of people who will find value in a carefully nurtured project. They will give something 30 months' revenue or more. Depending on how good your website is performing on Analytics and Google search results.
I seen some people have ads & also pay people to advertise their own site. Accepting donations is an idea. What other sites out there besides Adsense could people use?
ZandraJoi Adsense is the best, I won't use anything else for my website.
Honestly, I've never really tried to make money from a Website. I'm more about creating them for the sole purpose of hobbying and/or clients. I don't even have a personal website at the moment, thought I should.
