I see few people create the site/forum design in PSD and share the screenshot before coding it. What is that?
PSD is the Adobe Photoshop native format. When you design something and want to use it / modify it on Photoshop later, you will have it is as a Name.psd file.
It is like Word files having .doc extension. Photoshop similarly uses .psd
Sorry i was not clear in my question. When you ask a designer for theme the designer designs it in Dreamweaver (i think in the past) nowadays they give the design they have in mind using a psd file. How does this work.?
Jason nowadays they give the design they have in mind using a psd file.
It is like we do in PowerPoint. Photoshop allows to make mockup web pages much more easily than coding. So if we want to `draw`` a theme to show the designer, we can do it in Adobe Photoshop like make slides in PowerPoint.
Another advantage of using a PSD is that there are tools which can convert a properly prepared PSD file into HTML and CSS.
Thank you, this is what i want to know. When i asked for a design in the past i got one PSD file with the design and i was wondering how is this possible.
Did you receive any PSD designs ? Was that for a theme ?
I didn't receive but i was shown when i asked for a theme design.
