I have seen that even mainstream news websites are using this. I feel bad about it, but as a webmaster, I think that it is a popular method to make users click the link.
Do you use such strategies which writing articles on your websites? Does it help?
Not if I can help it. I understand that it will increase the conversion rate. But I feel such titles are more fit for publishers who care about themselves more than others.
No, I try my best to stay away from clickbait titles as much as possible, they tend to frustrate more than help, so there's no point in trying to get on peoples' bad sides.
Almost everyone hates it. It is more or less like making an idiot out of our visitors. The excitement is soon lost once they go through the content. Most of them are junk too.
I don’t have it on mine & I wouldn’t know how to go about doing it. I don’t think I would either. I want people to come to my forum & stay not be annoyed that I reeled them in with something.
I don’t try to click on them myself. More times than not, it’s stupid & then I worry I just infected my computer even if the site was legitimate.
I think clickbait annoys people more than anything. If they see that your site isn't what they were promised, they are likely just to leave.
